We were scheduled to have brunch with some of our friends, one of which has some dietary restrictions, and we're thrilled to have found Lili's. They offer some gluten-free items, which was perfect for our friend, as well as a kids menu. They also offer an island menu and have a full bar, which checked all the boxes for us. We enjoyed the chicken and waffles, loco moco, and POG mimosas (bottomless option available). Our friend enjoyed a huge stack of gluten-free pancakes with bacon and eggs, and her kiddo munched on some pancakes, fruit and bacon. Everyone said their food was delicious! The decor was charming and the high ceilings and sky light was quite delightful. I will say that the service was quite slow but we were not in a hurry, thankfully, and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the restaurant is attached to the rest of the strip mall, which means there is a shared restroom, which was incredibly filthy. 0 stars for that situation.

Hmmmm This used to be my favorite local restaurant. I've been waiting for 35 minutes to order lunch. I guess the fact that I have water is a plus. And suddenly...this amazing waiter came to my table, it isn't even his !! He took my order right away and apologized for my wait. This is what service is all about! He was kind and attentive, I'll be coming back and I will ask for him! Thank you to Adrian for making everything better today and for turning around a not so great situation into a perfect one! It's very relaxed here and has a hometown feeling. The bartender noticed I hadn't been helped and served me while I waited for a waiter. Super friendly! The food is cooked perfectly, hot and delicious This place is nice and quiet, and has a great vibe today!

A friend had recommended Lili's as a great place for Island eats and generally great offerings. The first time we tried to go, there was a power outage that prevented us from trying Lili's, so this was attempt #2. While the menu offers a great selection of traditional "diner offerings", the highlight is definitely their Island Menu. They have everything from Loco Moco to Kualua Pork, to Chicken Katsu and of course their "Crack Chicken". On this day, I went for more the traditional breakfast of Bacon and Eggs. I know, not very exotic nor Island inspired but for me, breakfast is all about the execution. The chef at Lili's hit a homerun in my book. The bacon was thick and flavorful. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the hashbrowns were good, crisp yet fluffy. I normallly don't rave about the toast at a diner but at Lili's the toast was really good. A bit thicker than your normal slice and toasted to a golden brown. Delicious. My wife on the other hand, could not stay away from the "Crack Chicken". The chicken (dark meat) was deep fried to a crispy outside yet moist and tender inside. The batter gave the chicken a great taste. But I think it was the sweet soy sauce that was the magic touch. This chicken was "da kine bruddah". Served with white rice and macaroni salad, the flavors definitely condured up memories of Maui and the Big Island. If you're looking for a great diner, with a bit of the "Aloha" flair, Lili's is the place. We'll be definitely be coming back here for some grindz.

The first time I ever went to Lili's, I went with my brother not knowing what to expect. He recommended their famous Crack Chicken with Hawaiian Rice and I immediately fell in love! The staff are always kind and welcoming when I arrive. We also get seated pretty quickly even when they are busy on weekends! Beware that they tend to a lot more people on busy weekends so service can be a little slower but they get the job done. The music and atmosphere is very homey. It's a nice classic cafe style restaurant. I've brought different friends and everytime they fall in love with their crack chicken dish too! The Hawaiian rice is extra but it's a must! I love the mac salad and I also recommend getting a small side of crack sauce for that extra bang to the meal! The chicken is so crispy and addicting. I sometimes get a sunny side up egg on the side and pour the runny yolk over the rice. It's divine! I have also tried their Loco Moco deluxe in the past and it is also very good! I haven't had much of their breakfast items but I can assure that the crack chicken is the way to go on a first visit!

It's been a few years since I had been back, but had my car detailed at Franktown, so we decided to walk over and have breakfast while we waited. Mimi was our server and she's such a doll! I have had her on almost every occasion that I've been here. Service has always been great for me, no complaints. She and her support staff stayed on top of clearing plates and topping off our drinks. We ordered kids pancakes meal, Pulehu steak and a loco moco. Servings were decent and I packed the rest for my next meal. I had to steal a bite of loco moco. I haven't made this at home either in quite sometime. As an island girl, I crave it from time to time, but what better way for me to get my fixes from time to time. Mimi gave my son a pineapple to color and hung it up for him. Thank you Mimi for making my little one's day! He was so proud of his pineapple. Thank you guys for a great meal and amazing service. We'll visit again when we're in the neighborhood.

Aloha! Back for a second time breakfast experience. This morning, Tiare was our great waitress and provided exceptional service. 5Stars!! My wife had Chow Fun Noodles, and I ordered the guacamole omelette. I also ordered a biscuit with gravy. My brother in-law had the Hawaiian Breakfast. The food came out very fast and was delicious. The biscuit and gravy was delicious and one of the best I've ever had and I've had many throughout the years. This was a night and day difference from our first experience. Thes restaurant is definitely in the top five of non-franchise restaurants. We will definitely return!

I was recommended to try breakfast here. It's an Hawaiian themed restaurant. The staff were nice and attentive as well. I with the hula buster with French toast. Everything came out hot, fresh and fast. The eggs were fluffy and the French toast wasn't soggy which I appreciated! Will be back to try the crack chicken!

Miss island grindz? This is THE place in the Reno area to get your ono on! Tucked away in by the Franktown carwash, this is our go-to spot for top-notch Hawaiian fare as well a decent cocktails (the Mai Tais are well made and adult sized...one will do ya!) I'm a creature of habit, so my only take here is on the loco moco, a fav when visiting the islands. I always opt for the deluxe version that also comes with linguesa and fried spam Always upgrade to the Hawaiian fried rice as a base, topped by hamburger patty, 2 eggs and delish gravy. May sound a bit off-putting, but a great flavor combination. Huge portion, always take half home for lolos. It gets busy, especially on weekends. Decent parking, casual island decor and very lively. Service has always been quick. Our last outing we had a table of 10. All dishes came out the same time and hot. We certainly created new fans of the place and look forward to our next visit. I may even try something different...maybe!!!

Had the rest, and found the best. In our ever searching quest for old time, rustic, historical Reno restaurants, this one has been added to our new restaurant book as a "Don't miss." Where in the world can you find a restaurant that can please 18 women over the age of 55 at one luncheon. We had one server and she was magnificent. Every one of our individual orders were beautifully presented. Eighteen women and we all agreed we'd return. Quick mention on some of the dishes, Hawaiian Rice (with 2 eggs) , Monte Cristo, Chicken Fried Steak, Flat Asian Noodle, 4 Protein dish with noodles, and the incredible crab omelette. Honestly. I was a bit suspicious of such a diverse menu, but, Lili's delivered 100% . Personally, this is my (our) new go to breakfast/lunch local. Please give them a try and let me know what you think.
